The workshop will explore various controls in jsClient, along with explanations of his understanding of the web client tool based on experience with Omnis fat client programming and his jsClient knowledge building web apps for customers.
There are over 50 distinct controls that can be placed on a jsClient form. They can be used for buttons, containers, entry fields, lists, menus, navigation, subforms, and more. We’ll begin with basic controls like pushbuttons and entry/display fields, then progress to more complex ones like datagrids and subformsets, which will be discussed in detail.
During the session, we will be running and testing the forms, which introduces the capabilities of the debugger when used for remote forms.
The goal of the session is to assist newer JavaScript Client programmers as they begin their projects, providing an overall view of whats available to then, ideas and guidance to help overcome common challenges in web client programming.
